The Say Cheese Guarantee™

What is the Say Cheese Guarantee™, and what happens if a promise is broken?

The Say Cheese Guarantee™ is a written, contractual promise on every Say Cheese Co. photobooth booking in Sydney: the booth is set up before your first guest arrives, a trained Say Cheese operator runs it, the gallery is live instantly via QR, and it runs every booked minute or the time is extended. If Say Cheese Co. does not turn up, you pay nothing. If the booth cannot be restarted, you do not pay for the time lost. If setup runs late, the time is added to the end of the night at no charge.

    What are the four promises?

Every Set, from the $1,299 base upward, carries the same four promises. They are specific and measurable on purpose, so there is never an argument about whether one was kept.

    1. Set up before your first guest arrives. Booth placement, theme and guest flow are agreed before the event. On the day the booth is set up, tested and open before your first guest walks in.
    2. A trained Say Cheese operator, never a subcontractor. Every event is run by the owner or a Say Cheese–trained operator, named before your event and on site for the full duration.
    3. Instant gallery via QR, hosted for twelve months. The gallery is live from the first photo. The booth runs on mobile data, so it works in almost every Sydney venue. Guests scan a QR code and save their photos in real time, and the gallery stays online free for twelve months.
    4. Every booked minute, or we extend. If a technical issue ever interrupts the booth, it is fixed on the spot and the lost time is added to the end of the booking at no charge.

What does "set up before your first guest arrives" mean on the night?

It means the booth is not being assembled while guests are walking past it. Setup and packdown sit outside your booked hours, so the operator arrives early, builds the booth, tests the camera, the flash, the printer and the gallery link, and has it open before the event's stated start time.

Booth placement, theme, backdrop and guest flow are agreed with you in advance, so nothing is being worked out on the day.

What does "a trained say cheese operator, never a subcontractor" mean on the night?

The person who runs your booth is either the owner of Say Cheese Co. or someone trained by Say Cheese Co. to the same standard, and you are told who it is before the event. Bookings are never passed to a casual staff pool or a third-party operator, which is the usual way a photobooth ends up run by a stranger who has never seen the equipment.

The operator stays for the full duration of the 3 booked hours, or longer if extra hours have been added, helping guests with props, prints and the gallery.

What does "instant gallery via qr, hosted for twelve months" mean on the night?

The gallery goes live from the first photo of the night. The booth runs on its own mobile data rather than venue wifi, so it works in almost every Sydney venue. Every guest can scan a QR code at the booth and save or share their photos while the event is still happening, and the gallery stays online free for 12 months. There is no waiting for a link to be emailed days later.

What does "every booked minute, or we extend" mean on the night?

If a technical fault ever stops the booth during the booked time, the operator fixes it on the spot and the lost minutes are added to the end of the booking at no charge. If it cannot be restarted, you do not pay for the time you lost. You never pay for coverage you did not get, and you never have to ask for the time back.

What happens if Say Cheese Co. breaks a promise?

If Say Cheese Co. does not turn up, the client pays nothing and is refunded in full. If the booth stops working and cannot be restarted, the client does not pay for the time lost. If setup runs late, the lost time is added to the end of the night at no charge. No arguments, no forms: it is written into the contract.

The remedy for a broken promise
    What went wrongWhat you receive
Say Cheese Co. does not turn upYou pay nothing, and anything already paid is refunded in full.
The booth stops working and cannot be restartedYou do not pay for the time you lost.
Setup runs lateThe lost time is added to the end of the night at no charge.

The guarantee is written into the contract you sign, which is why it can be relied on. A verbal reassurance that something never goes wrong is not a guarantee.

What is not in the guarantee, but is still delivered?

Some inclusions are contractual commitments rather than guarantee promises. They are delivered on every booking, but they sit in the contract's inclusions rather than inside the branded guarantee.

    • Unlimited prints. Every photo prints, with no cap and no fair-use clause.
    • The AI Filter Suite, included in every Set, is delivered as an inclusion with its own description.
    • Highlight reels, when added, are delivered within 48 hours, with the delivery window stated in the contract.
    • The custom strip template, with revisions, agreed before the event.

How do I make a claim under the guarantee?

Email hello@saycheeseco.com.au with your event date and which promise was not kept. Because the promises are specific, the operator's own event notes usually confirm it, and the refund or the time credit is issued from there. There is no claim form and no committee.

    Frequently asked questions

Does the guarantee apply to every booking?
Yes. All four promises apply to every Set from $1,299, regardless of which add-ons are chosen.
Is the guarantee actually in the contract?
Yes. The four promises and each remedy are written into the booking contract, so they are enforceable rather than a marketing line.
What counts as a broken promise?
The booth not being open before your first guest arrives, the booth being run by someone who is not the owner or a Say Cheese–trained operator, the gallery not being available via QR during the event, or booked time lost to a fault and not added back.
What if the booth stops working during the event?
The operator fixes it on the spot and adds the lost minutes to the end of the booking at no charge. If it cannot be restarted, you do not pay for the time you lost.
Does a broken promise ever happen?
The guarantee exists because it is designed not to be needed: the early setup, the strategy call and the trained operator are what keep the promises. It is in writing so you do not have to take that on trust.
